In the Spy verse of Amazon Prime Video’s “Butterfly” tv series starring Daniel Dae Kim, has five new members in the recurring roles and as guest characters.
Sean Dulake, Kim Ji-hoon and Charles Parnell join as recurring characters, and Sung Dong-il and Lee Il-hwa are set to be the guest stars.
David Jung played by Daniel Dae Kim,
an enigmatic, highly unpredictable former US intelligence operative who lives in South Korea, the consequences of an impossible decision from his past come back to haunt him and blow life into pieces when, and he finds himself approached by Rebecca , a deadly, sociopathic young agent assigned to kill him.
Dulake, who has previously worked in movies like “Ktown Cowboys” and “Operation Chromite”, is going to play the character of Hollis.
A brutally effective hitman “Gun” will be played by Kim Ji-hoon, previously he has worked in the movies like “Love to Hate You” and “Money Heist Korea.” Parnell has been cast as Senator George Dawson.
“A formidable Korean patriarch who runs a successful shipping company, his business connects him to friends in both high and low places,” that’s how the character of Dootae Kim, David Jung’s father-in-law has be describe, the character will be played by Sung Dong-il and Lee Il-hwa will play his wife, Jung’s mother-in-law.
The novelist Steph Cha, is the executive producer of the series as well as the series is co-created by Ken Woodruff, who is also associated with the series “Gotham”.
