Amazon Prime’s Mirzapur S2 Trailer Left Out Two Crucial Details!

Amazon Prime’s Mirzapur S2 Trailer Left Out Two Crucial Details!

To say that Amazon Prime Video’s Mirzapur Season 2 is the most awaited season of an Indian series would be an understatement. That is exactly why fans of the show are in a tizzy, knowing that Mirzapur Season 2 will hit Amazon Prime Video on 23rd October.

Amazon Prime Video has been dropping tantalising hints about the likely happenings in Mirzapur S2. Bablu (Vikrant Massey) and Sweety (Shriya Pilgaonkar) are dead, and Guddu (Ali Fazal) is itching for revenge. He’s got Golu (Shweta Tripathi) with him, who’s keen to avenge her sister Sweety’s killing. Mirzapur S2 will also see the rise of another Bahubali, Sharad Shukla (Anjum Sharma), the son of Rati Shankar Shukla, who had been shot dead by Guddu in Season 1. So, it seems, Mirzapur S2 is all about revenge – Guddu’s, Golu’s, Sharad’s, Lala’s (Anil George), whose son-in-law was shot dead by Golu in Mirzapur S1. Phew, that’s tons of avenging to be done!

But the most intriguing part of Mirzapur S2 is the entry of several new characters – Meghna Malik as Sharad Shukla’s mother and mentor; Lilliput as Dadda Tyagi, a Bihari strongman; Isha Talwar, in an as yet undefined role; and in perhaps the most significant entry – Vijay Varma, as Dadda Tyagi’s man.

We can also safely assume that Mirzapur S2 will see a whole lot of regrouping, as seen in the trailer. Munna (Divyendu Sharma), Sharad and Vijay Varma’s character seem to be partners in crime, while Guddu, Golu and Dimpy (Harshita Gaur) are on the other side, planning a gruesome revenge on Kaleen Bhaiya and Munna Tripathi.

So while the trailer has given hint of a lot of things, it has left out several crucial details – as per reports in the media, Vijay Varma is supposedly playing a double role in Mirzapur 2. But the trailer gives no hint of this fact.

Also, the trailer showed not a single glimpse of Priyanshu Painyuli and the character he’s playing. So will the Extraction actor and his role be the big surprise that Mirzapur 2 will spring on us, the viewers? It is a fact that Priyanshu Painyuli has a very crucial role in the new season of Mirzapur. So then why no mention or glimpse of the actor in the trailer?

Priyanshu Painyuli had impressed one and all with his edgy don character in the Russo Brothers’ Netflix hit, Extraction. And we can’t wait to find out his role in Mirzapur Season 2.

The trailer has made it amply clear that Mirzapur Season 2 brims with more of the elements that made Mirzapur Season 1 such a rage. More importantly, its focus on the fightback of Guddu, Golu and Dimpy, stressing on the emotion of revenge, is something to look forward to. And we just can’t keep calm before the season drops!

Mirzapur Season 2 has been created by Puneet Krishna, directed by Gurmeet Singh and Mihir Desai, and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment. It stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Shweta Tripathi, Anjum Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Amit Sial, Shahnawaz Pradhan, Sheeba Chaddha, Harshita Gaur, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Vijay Varma, Meghna Malik, Isha Talwar, Priyanshu Painyuli, Lilliput, among others.

Mirzapur Season 2 premieres on Amazon Prime Video on 23rd October.
