Being a top player in the OTT segment, MX Player has been acquiring good international content for Indian viewers for quite some time. The latest addition to their content library is the American series ‘Alphas’.
‘Alphas’ is an American superhero drama television series. The series follows five people with superhuman abilities, known as “Alphas”. They are led by noted neurologist and psychiatrist Lee Rosen (David Strathairn), as they investigate criminal cases involving other suspected Alphas.
Rosen and his team operate under the Defense Criminal Investigative Service, the criminal investigative arm of the U.S. Department of Defense. While investigating these crimes, the team discovers that a group known as “Red Flag”, which was thought to have been defeated and eliminated long ago, is using other Alphas to commit crimes.
Working against the clock to solve this new brand of crime, the Alphas must prevent their personality differences and contrasting backgrounds from interfering with their overall mission of catching the enemy.
The release of the series is hot after the news of MX Player teaming up with Lionsplay to bring 50+ Hollywood movies to the platform. With an already sizable viewer base of 280 Million Monthly Active Users Worldwide, these strategic moves will only increase the OTT platform’s popularity.
The first season of ‘Alphas’ dubbed in Hindi is now streaming on MXPlayer. With an 81% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the series may be worth a watch for desi fans of the superhero genre.
