As the release date of Prabhas starrer highly anticipated film ‘Radhe Shyam’ inches closer towards its release, the curiosity quotient and buzz around the film is reaching newer heights by the day. You might already be aware that after a spate of pandemic-induced postponements, ‘Radhe Shyam’ is now set for a grand theatrical on 11th March 2022.
Adding to the film’s hype is another exciting revelation made by the makers that legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan has lent his trademark deep baritone voice for the film’s voiceover. The makers have revealed the info through a poster that thanked the ‘Shahenshah’ actor through the words “Thank You Amitabh Bachchan Ji for making this epic love story even more epic with your incredible narration.”
However, this is not the first time Amitabh Bachchan has given voiceover for narrating a film. Because previously, he had lent his voice for narration in movies such as Aamir Khan’s Oscar-nominated cricket drama ‘Lagaan’, Ashutosh Gowariker’s period film ‘Jodha Akhbar’, Vidya Balan starrer ‘Parineeta’, and Satyajit Ray’s cult film ‘Shatranj Ke Khiladi’, amongst others.
Written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and set in 1970s Europe, ‘Radhe Shyam’ is a period romance drama that features Prabhas and Pooja Hedge in the lead roles. Speculations aside, the precise plot details are being kept under the wraps.
Besides ‘Radhe Shyam’, the ‘Baahubali’ actor Prabhas has multiple big-ticket films under his belt. The list includes Prashanth Neel’s action thriller ‘Salaar’, Om Raut’s epic mythological movie ‘Adipurush’, Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi flick ‘Project K’, and the recently announced Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial ‘Spirit’, which will be Prabhas’s 25th film.
