More than month after its theatrical release, Amitabh Bachchan’s highly acclaimed sports drama ‘Jhund’ is all set for its digital debut. Helmed by Nagraj Manjule, ‘Jhund’ will have its world digital premiere on 6th May, 2022 only on Zee5.
The announcement was made by Zee5 on its official social media handles with a clip of Amitabh Bachchan walking with a band of children while ratings and reviews from various sources displaying in the background. Sharing the news Zee5 wrote,

Written and directed by Nagraj Manjule, ‘Jhund’ is a biographical sports drama inspired from the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer. The film follows the story of a sports teacher who is on the edge of retirement yet decides to form a soccer team out of children living in slums. He helps these underprivileged kids to stay away from drugs and crime and transforms them into skilled soccer players.
‘Jhund’ stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ankush Gedam, Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru among others. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sandip Singh, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni and Meenu Arora.
T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and Aatpaat Films are the production houses bankrolling the film. ‘Jhand’ received great critical and public acclaim who praised it for the performances, the message it sent along with the humour and the way the film was made.
‘Jhund’ will premiere exclusively on Zee5 on 6th May, 2022.
