An exhilarating trailer for Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming film ‘An Action Hero’ is now out. Helmed by Anirudh Iyer, ‘An Action Hero’ will release in theatres on 2nd December, 2022.
The trailer begins with a Bhoora Solanki (Jaideep Ahlawat), Municipal Councillor of Haryana’s Mandothi village smashing his car into Maanav (Ayushmann Khurrana), an action hero’s car.
The trailer then offers is a glimpse of Maanav’s glamorous life where he is a famous action hero in the film industry and enjoys huge fame. But it all turns upside down for him after the incident of Vicky’s mysterious murder and Maanav flees to London.
What follows is cat and mouse chase where Maanav, who is accused of killing Vicky Solanki, is on a run for his life with Bhoora hunting him down all across the globe to avenge his brother’s murder. While it might look like a simple story but the trailer does hint that there’s something more ‘An Action Hero’ has to offer than what the trailer reveals. With touches of humour here and there the trailer is looks pretty interesting.
With direction and story by Anirudh Iyer and screenplay and dialogues by Neeraj Yadav, ‘An Action Hero’ stars Ayushmann Khurrana (‘Badhaai Ho’, ‘Article 15’, ‘Andhadhun’) and Jaideep Ahlawat (‘Paatal Lok’, ‘Bloody Brothers’, ‘Raazi’) in lead roles. The film is a high octane chase drama with slick action and offbeat, satirical humour.
Produced by Anand L Rai, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, the production companies behind ‘An Action Hero’ are T-Series and Colour Yellow Productions. Coming to the streaming rights for the film, Netflix has acquired the digital rights for ‘An Action Hero’ The film will be available on the platform post its theatrical run that begins on 2nd December, 2022.
