If you are into Bangladeshi movies and shows, you should know that Chanchal is one of the most terrific actors of the subcontinent. He acts with his eyes and Boli is no exception. Actors like Shohel Mondol, Sohana Saba, Safa Kabir, Salahuddin Lavlu and Ziaul Hoque Polash have given probably the best performances of their lives too in the project.
‘Boli’ is directed by Shankha Dasgupta and the cinematography is handled by Tahsin Rahman. The visuals of the show are stunning. Boli tells the story of an island ‘Cheradia’ where Sohrab, a gangster, rules over the people with the power of political backing. A young wounded man is found on the shores of the island one day and he is taken inside the local brothel by the sex-workers. He soon becomes the face of resistance against the suppression of Sohrab Company. He is given the name of Rustom after the famous folklore and he becomes the eyesore of Sohrab. He has a past that he himself is not able to recall. A political Chaos for the power over Cheradiya has started off.
The music of the series is composed by Emon Chowdhury and it has some of the most beautiful dialogues written on bengali ott. Boli is available to watch on Hoichoi. If you are a fan of revenge thrillers, you should definitely give it a go.
