Amazon Prime Video is known for its wide reach all across the globe. While the platform had a reputation of just being Amazon’s namesake extension, Prime Video has really changed its image by the enormous success of Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power.
But there is something huge Prime Video is missing out which is nothing less than ridiculous. However, this problem is exclusive to India as the platform can’t let this happen in the USA.
Regardless, the problem is in the streaming quality of the content available. As you know, Netflix has several plans, and a few of them also include a lot of plans which allow streaming in only 480p or 720p.
But this is not the case with Prime Video. The platform allows FHD streaming in all plans. But, a bug or let’s say lack of optimization is clearly seen in the Prime Video app from App Store.
However, this must be clear that the problem rests with Prime Video and not Apple.
The platform allows only HD streaming on iOS which is absurd. The sheer expectation is that a person can enjoy a visual extravaganza such as The Rings Of Power in HD and that too on a mobile phone.
This is a big thing that Prime Video needs to fix and they must do it. It is obvious that the user base of the iPhone is too small in comparison to that of Android, still, this biasness is not appreciated.
