Martin Scorsese is 81 years old and still reigning the world of cinema. With ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ he had a huge success, and now he has announced two new movies with highly interesting subjects.
If you are a fan of the director and are still missing out on some of his movies, here is a nice recommendation for you. The movie ‘Hugo’ came out in 2011 and is based on the novel ‘The Invention of Hugo Cabret’ by Brian Selznick. The movie tells the story of an orphan named Hugo Cabret who lives in the railway station in Paris. Hugo is obsessed with clocks and goes hanging about the clocks of the station. Hugo prizes an automaton that he inherited from his father and tries to find a key that will make it start. In his quest, he finds himself entangled in a curious mystery.
‘Hugo’ got four Academy Awards for cinematography, visual effects, sound design and production designing. The movie is a treat to the eyes. You will not be able to get ‘Hugo’ out of your mind after you watch it.
Martin Scorsese is a terrific director and his range surprises us. With Hugo, he delivers a sweet story that reminds us of childhood. There are so many moments in the movie where it feels like it has been directed by Spielberg, because obviously, Scorsese has not done as many kids’ movies like Spielberg has.
