Andor Season 2 star Adria Arjona has promised that the upcoming season will be better than the first season. Andor received unanimous acclaim from both critics and fans who praised the show for its mature and grippy tone. This Diego Luna starrer is the highest-rated live-action Star Wars show ever, standing with an impressive 96% fresh critic score on Rotten Tomatoes based on over 600 certified reviews.
Arjona will be reprising the character of Bix Caleen, Cassian Andor’s ally, in the forthcoming season. In her recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor guaranteed that fans would see more of Bix in Season 2. Moreover, she confirmed that Season 2 would be “f–king better” than Season 1 in a lot of ways. This is what she said:
“Oh man, when I read season one, I pinched myself, and when I started reading season two, I was like, ‘[Tony Gilroy] can’t outdo [season one].’ I was again like, ‘It’s not going to be as good.’ But it’s f–king better. It’s so much better. It is. What he has crafted and created is mind-blowing, and I can’t believe I got to be a part of it. He’s so talented, and he really outdid himself for season two.”
Star Wars’ latest offering, The Acolyte, surely cultivated an immense buzz among the viewers but at the cost of facing a strong backlash from many of the franchise’s diehard fans. In fact, we have only two Star Wars shows that are universally loved among fans: Ahsoka and Andor. The Mandalorian would have made this list if it wasn’t for its messy third season.
Many consider Andor as the best Star Wars show to date. Maybe that’s why Lucasfilm is trying hard to promote Season 2 at all levels these days. For instance, we saw the production house promoting the second season at this year’s D23 event via a video clip featuring the leading man, Diego Luna. Given the show’s unique storytelling approach, mature character portrayals, and humongous prominence, it makes sense why Lucasfilm is planning to build immense hype for the forthcoming season.
