Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the movie has been in the news ever since its inception and also for all the right reasons. The movie is the sequel to the 2007 hit and Akshay Kumar starrer “Bhool Bhulaiyaa”, directed by Priyadarshan. Bhool Bhulaiya 2 is not exactly about the events after the first one, but it is being continued more like a franchise at this point. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has seen quite a setback, given that its preparation started in 2019 and is still continuing with the filming, due to all the delays.
Now, there was news that was making the rounds for some time, that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was being pushed further back and this time for unknown reasons. Fans were worried, as the movie has already seen quite a big setback due to the pandemic, with both the first and second waves. If the film was delayed, chances were that it might have been released on the scheduled date, which was set for 19th November 2021.
But now, all those rumours have been debunked by the director Anees Bazmee, himself. In a recent interview, he rubbished all the rumours that were going around about the delay of the movie. He mentioned that the movie has already seen quite a bit of loss due to the pandemic-induced lockdown, and now it won’t be delaying anything. The movie is supposed to resume shooting as soon as the restrictions start getting a bit easy. In fact, a date soon will be released to resume the shoot for the movie.
He has rightly stated that in such situations, one cannot hurry no matter what, which is absolutely true. The question is not only about the safety of the actors or directors or producers, there are hundred more workers on a film set, the filming heads definitely need to think about that too. Bazmee has mentioned that, with all the sanitization, protocols being followed, the team is in fact spending more at this point than what was in their budget.
The director has also mentioned that the talks of a third wave are getting them worried. Nothing is confirmed or no one can assess what the situation will be, so we believe Anees Bazmee is right in taking such decisions and covering things one at a time. But yes, for now, it has been confirmed that there won’t be further delays and the movie shoot schedule will soon be released.
As for the movie, it stars Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu in the lead roles. The rumors are strong that the classic theme song of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” which is “Hare Raam, Hare Krishna”, might make a comeback in this sequel too as the song definitely went viral and has a wide fan base. Fans will clearly be able to associate the song with the entire franchise now.
