DNEG Animation will serve as the threequel’s animation partner. The duo of Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad will return to voice Red and Chuck, respectively.

The third part will see further adventures of Chuck and Red, portrayed by Gad (“Frozen” and “Beauty and the Beast”) and Sudeikis (“We’re the Millers” and “Ted Lasso”), respectively.
We have another returning player in the form of John Rice, who co-helmed “The Angry Birds Movie 2” with Thurop Van Orman. Rice will direct the upcoming third part. On the other hand, Orman will come back to work on the threequel’s script.
The first Angry Birds movie came out in 2016 and emerged as a blockbuster, earning over $352 million worldwide against a $73 million budget. However, the second part was not as successful as the first one, earning only $153 million globally. Still, it was a decent box office success.
The official announcement didn’t reveal the storyline of “The Angry Birds Movie 3,” but teased continued adventures for Chuck and Red. Stay tuned for more updates.
