Prime Video has today made official what was known for quite some time now. Apple TV+ will now be available as an add-on channel in Prime Video in India too after the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and other territories in Europe and Latin America.
This addition of Apple TV+ as an add-on channel makes Prime Video India achieve another milestone where it now offers over 75,000 hours of content across more than 25 add-on subscription partners.
How does it give any advantage to the audience though? Well, apart from the fact that there will be no need to use two different apps, there’s pretty much nothing.
Apple TV+ is available at ₹99/month through their own app as well through Prime Video India, so those who already have the subscription why would they switch. Atleast not before it ends or if they want to have a single stop service for both the streamers.
The only one to gain here is Prime Video who will have an enhanced content library and more strengthened position in the competitive Indian OTT market with this latest move if theirs.
