Ahead of the premiere of season three of the global hit drama ‘The Morning Show’, Apple TV+ has renewed the Emmy, SAG and Critics Choice Award-winning series for a fourth season.
Starring and executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, directed by Mimi Leder and produced by the studio Media Res, Hello Sunshine and Echo Films, season three of ‘The Morning Show’ has Charlotte Stoudt (‘Fosse/Verdon’, ‘Homeland’, ‘House of Cards’) as the new showrunner and executive producer.
Stoudt is expected to carry on for season four as well under her multi-year overall deal for scripted television series with Apple TV+. Moreover, since Aniston and Witherspoon’s deal with Apple TV+ is now over after season three, there are talks for its renewal. There also talks about season five of ‘The Morning Show’.
Along with Aniston and Witherspoon, the star-studded cast includes Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, Tom Irwin and Marcia Gay Harden. Jon Hamm, Stephen Fry, Tig Notaro and Nicole Beharie are among the new faces joining season three.
Picking up after the explosive events of season one, season two found ‘The Morning Show’ team emerging from the wreckage of Alex (Aniston) and Bradley’s (Witherspoon) actions, to a new UBA and a world in flux, where identity is everything and the chasm between who we present as and who we really are comes into play.
