Apple TV+ in the recent Television Critics Association Winter 2021 Press Tour, gave a glimpse of its highly anticipated, expanding lineup of new and returning Apple Originals from award-winning storytellers.
Apple TV+ has not only announced the launch of a plethora of new shows and movies but many of its earlier originals will return to the platform this year. Among these, ‘The Mosquito Coast’, a new series, will premiere on 30th April and critically acclaimed comedy series ‘Mythic Quest’ will officially return for its second on 7th May.
Other than the above two, Apple gave a sneak peek into the upcoming new Original series that include,’Schmigadoon!’ – A star-studded musical comedy series executive produced by Lorne Michaels and starring Emmy Award nominee Cecily Strong and Emmy Award winner Keegan-Michael Key; ‘Physical’ – A new dramedy starring Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Rose Byrne and created by Annie Weisman;,’Lisey’s Story’ – A new limited series from creator and executive producer Stephen King, executive producer J.J. Abrams, and starring Academy Award winner Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Dane DeHaan.
Some other new buzzy series and movies that will premiere on Apple TV+ soon are ‘Losing Alice’, ‘Foundation’, ‘Mr. Corman’, ‘The Shrink Next Door’, Tom Holland starrer ‘Cherry’, ‘Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry’ and many more.
‘Central Park’, ‘Dickinson’, ‘The Morning Show’, ‘Truth Be Told’, ‘See’, ‘For All Mankind’, ‘Ghostwriter’, ‘Home Before Dark’, M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Servant’, ‘Trying’ and more are the original series retuning with a new season this year on Apple TV+.
All the above mentioned series and movies will join the growing lineup of critically lauded films, including the Golden Globe Award-nominated ‘Wolfwalkers’ and ‘On the Rocks’, Critics Choice Award-nominated ‘Palmer’ and many more on Apple TV+.
