Apple TV+ has dropped its Summer Preview 2025 trailer—a packed clip showcasing the platform’s most exciting shows lined up for release this summer. From gripping dramas and historical epics to star-led comedies and returning fan favourites, the upcoming lineup looks grand, diverse, and brimming with A-list talent.
The Studio (Premiered March 26)
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s The Studio has already premiered, with four episodes now streaming. The series has received strong critical and audience praise, especially for Rogen and Goldberg’s co-direction and standout performances by Rogen, Catherine O’Hara, and Kathryn Hahn.
The show also features an impressive lineup of guest stars, including Zac Efron, Bryan Cranston, Rebecca Hall, Paul Dano, Charlize Theron, Olivia Wilde, Anthony Mackie, and more.
Echo Valley (Premieres June 13)
Led by Sydney Sweeney and Julianne Moore, Echo Valley follows Kate Garrett (Moore), a horse trainer in southern Pennsylvania grappling with a personal tragedy. Her world is upended when her daughter Claire (Sweeney) arrives home one night, covered in someone else’s blood—forcing Kate to confront just how far she’ll go to protect her child.
Murderbot (Premieres May 16)
Created by Chris and Paul Weitz, this sci-fi thriller centers on a part-human, part-robot security unit secretly self-named Murderbot, who hides its independent thinking. While carrying out dangerous missions, Murderbot wrestles with a conflicted existence—fascinated by humanity yet repelled by its flaws.
Alexander Skarsgård leads the cast as the titular character, joined by David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Tattiawna Jones, Tamara Podemski, Akshay Khanna, and more.
The Morning Show – Season 4 (2025)
Jennifer Aniston returns as Alex Levy, alongside Reese Witherspoon as Bradley Jackson, in the fourth season of The Morning Show. Although the trailer only features a short audio clip—Bradley declaring, “The story matters!”—details about the upcoming plot remain under wraps for now.
Your Friends and Neighbors (Premieres April 11)
Jon Hamm stars as Coop, a recently divorced and unemployed hedge fund manager from New York in this new dramedy. To maintain his lavish lifestyle—and that of his family—Coop turns to steal luxury items from his wealthy neighbors.
The ensemble cast includes Olivia Munn, Amanda Peet, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Aimee Carrero, and Lena Hall.
Chief of War (Premieres August 1)
Set in the early 1700s during a time of political unrest among Hawaii’s four main kingdoms, Chief of War follows Kaʻiana (Jason Momoa), a Native Hawaiian noble and warrior who journeys beyond his homeland and returns to a land on the brink of change. The series explores his resistance to Hawaii’s eventual unification under Kamehameha I.
Alongside Momoa, the cast includes Temuera Morrison, Luciane Buchanan, Moses Goods, Brandon Finn, and more.
Slow Horses – Season 5 (Expected September 2025)
Based on Mick Herron’s Slough House novels, Slow Horses returns later in 2025 for its fifth season. The trailer gives fans just a glimpse of the upcoming season—including a weary-looking Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman), still leading the misfit agents of Slough House.
Stick (Premieres June 4)
Owen Wilson headlines Stick, a comedy-drama about a washed-up pro golfer who teams up with a rising star in a bid to reclaim his former glory. Judy Greer and Timothy Olyphant also appear in this quirky and heartfelt series.
Platonic – Season 2 (Expected Late Summer 2025)
Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco’s Platonic returns for a second season, likely toward the end of summer. The first season followed Will (Seth Rogen) and Sylvia (Rose Byrne), two longtime friends whose renewed bond leads to wild parties, emotional support, and chaotic personal revelations.
Season 2 promises more heart, humour, and relatable messiness as their friendship continues to evolve.
Fountain of Youth (Premieres May 23)
In Guy Ritchie’s upcoming heist adventure, Natalie Portman and John Krasinski star as estranged siblings on a mission to find the mythical Fountain of Youth. The film also features Eiza González, Domhnall Gleeson, Stanley Tucci, and Carmen Ejogo in key roles.
