Everyday a new remake gets announced by bollywood film-makers. We have a long list of remakes in the offing from bollywood for the next 5 years atleast. The latest news comes from the Tips Official coup. Although there were rumours that the remake rights of Thiagarajan Kumararaja‘s “Aranya Kaandam“, one of it’s kind neo-noir action thriller, have been sold to Tips Official producers, today we have an official confirmation regarding the same.
The producers took to their official page to announce the same.

The Hindi remake of “Aaranya Kaandam” is supposedly under pre-production. It is said to be helmed by Ajay Bahl who is coming off from a successful outing in “Section 375” starring Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha.
Producer Ramesh Taurani of Tips Industries had bought the rights of this Ravi Krishna, Jackie Shroff and Sampath Raj starrer back in June, 2021. Aaranya Kaandam (2010) is a Tamil neo-noir action thriller film written and directed by the exceptional Thiagarajan Kumararaja (known for Super Deluxe). The story takes place in a day in the lives of the six protagonists, played by Jackie Shroff, Ravi Krishna, Sampath Raj, Yasmin Ponnappa, Guru Somasundaram (Minnal Murali) and Master Vasanth, as a gang-war of sorts that ensue when a bag of cocaine gets stolen by two innocent people.
The film was highly acclaimed for its realistic and gritty take on mafia gang-wars while also applauding Thiagaraja’s directorial skills. Bank-rolles by Capital Film Works, the film went on to win two National Awards for Best Editing and Best First Film of a Director respectively. The makers haven’t divulged more details regarding the rest of the cast and crew of the Aaranya Kaandam remake. Stay tuned for more updates.
