Aranyak was released last Friday on Netflix. This show starring Raveena Tandon was a crime thriller set in the forests of Sironah.
This series was not much hyped and definitely didn’t get positive reviews. But surprisingly, it is performing quite well on Netflix. It has surpassed the internationally celebrated and mega-popular show Money Heist.
Raveena Tandon played a cop named Kasturi Dogra. All her career she was waiting for a single case that she could be satisfied with. But, when such a case finally arrives in her career then she has only a few days left in her duty. Because Parambrata Chatterjee playing Angad Malik gets posted to replace her.
A few scenes from the series were extremely funny even when they were not meant to be. It was a poorly directed and not so great story. It received mixed but largely negative responses from critics. But it looks like the audience is kind of okay with this.
There is no doubt about the extreme popularity of Money Heist. Although it was released a week before Aranyak, this situation was not even expected.
Cinephiles are not particularly happy with the ending of Money Heist. Because the ending was too predictable and not detailed at all. Still, this whole trend is unexpected but makes us believe that Hindi content is still potent to make it big in India.
