Netflix starts the year with abboom as the red and black brand drops the trailer of Arcane 2 which is simply sensational. The first season is already a bit hit and with the promises that they are making with the first trailer of the second season, the stakes are going even more up.
As a video game, League Of Legends did grab some major attractions but the Arcane franchise is building a solid base on its own.
Riot Games’ Season 2, animated by Fortiche Production, is adapted by Christian Linke and Alex Yee. Linke, also the executive producer, collaborates with Marc Merrill and Brandon Beck.
Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell, and Katie Leung return to voice Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn Kiramman, respectively. Netflix promises more voice cast announcements, keeping Season 2 plot details undisclosed.
The season 2 trailer also features Singed who is seen to be having a blood transfusion. Singed Loos at a pocket watch, closed it, and looked up. The camera then pans out and reveals a monster above him, ending with an abrupt cut in the minute-long trailer.
Leaving with more questions than answers, this trailer is also taking some previously appreciated fan theories.
The Arcane Season 2 trailer supports a fan theory suggesting that Vander, a character who dies in Season 1, is Warwick, a League of Legends monster transformed by experiments. Recognizing similarities, League of Legends hints at Warwick’s significant role in the upcoming season.
The trailer also reveals that the second season will have its release window in November 2024 as no exact dates are still not out.
