Telugu film, Ardha Shatabdham is skipping its theatrical release and is coming directly online. The movie will stream on Aha Video, the 100% Telugu exclusive OTT platform on the 11th of this month. Telugu actor Nani had released the trailer of the film. The movie reflects the ill-effects of the caste fanaticism deep-rooted in Indian society in the 90s.
There is one dialogue in the trailer which goes like the men beside us can be of any caste but the man on our daughter’s bed should belong to our caste. There is another shot in which a few upper caste men are lusting over a woman of lower caste. It sums up the theme of the story and also, the hypocrisy of caste discrimination.
The period story has politics, police, and Naxalism intervened in the story to up the drama and action quotient in the film. There are a few notable faces like Naveen Chandra, Sai Kumar, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Karthik Ratnam, TNR, and others which will add further value to the OTT film. The dialogues look impressive and the technical values are decent. All in all, Ardha Shatabdham looks like a very impressive trailer for an interesting subject. Aha Video has got one more interesting film for June!
