Mic testing! The man whose screen presence was widely acknowledged in Kollywood due to his unique baritone voice will now set foot in Mollywood. Being one of the top rising stars in Tamil cinema, Arjun Das officially announced this news to his fans on his X handle (formerly Twitter).
Tamil actor Arjun Das, who is well-known for his villain role as Anbu in Kaithi, will make his Malayalam debut through director Ahammed Khabeer’s upcoming film. As of now, it is known that the film is a romcom and this new project will have Hesham Abdul Wahab as the music composer.
Arjun Das was lastly seen in Tamil film director Vasantbalan’s ‘Aneethi,’ and his recent film ‘Por,’ directed by Bejoy Nambiar, is set for release this year. ‘Madhuram’ fame director Ahammed’s last directorial venture ‘Kerala Crime Files,’ was released last year and the series is expecting a sequel. This upcoming sequel is bankrolled by Ahammed himself under the banner of his production house, Monkey Business.
Best known for composing the soundtrack for Malayalam film ‘Hridayam,’ Hesham Abdul Wahab was highly praised for his musical composition for Telugu family drama ‘Hi Nanna.’ Although no further details are revealed regarding Arjun Das’ upcoming Malayalam film, the members of the film crew seem promising for the audiences. Let’s see if Arjun Das brings a distinct performance in the upcoming romcom, just as unique as his voice!
