Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Netflix Series Casts ‘Iron Man 3’ Actor

More than a year after Arnold Schwarzenegger’s yet untitled spy series landed at Netflix, the makers have now added another cast member to the eagerly anticipated show. As per a recent update (via Deadline), ‘Happy Endings’ and ‘Iron Man 3’ actor Adam Pally has now been roped in for an important role for the Netflix show. He will be essaying a recurring character called The Great Dane, who is rescued from a Turkish prison by CIA agents to help avert a nuclear attack masterminded by a dangerous criminal.

Besides Arnold Schwarzenegger, the eight-episode action-comedy Netflix series also features ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ actress Monica Barbaro. The show revolves around a father-daughter duo (played by Schwarzenegger and Barbaro), who learn that their whole relationship has been a lie after knowing that they have been secretly working for the premier intelligence agency CIA and they are forced to team up as partners.

Another exciting thing about the Netflix series is that it’s being helmed by Primetime Emmy winner Phil Abraham. Phil is an immensely talented filmmaker whose previous directorial credits include some premium shows like ‘Jack Ryan’, ‘Hunters’, ‘Orange is the New Black’, ‘Daredevil’, ‘Ozark’, ‘Bosch’, ‘Mad Men’, and ‘The Walking Dead’, to name a few.

This is not the first time Arnold Schwarzenegger will be seen in the role of a secret agent. After the humongous success of the Terminator films, James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger had teamed up again for the 1994 action-comedy film ‘True Lies’. And now, it will be super interesting to see the former California Governor essaying the role of a secret agent yet again in the Netflix series. Moreover, the plot of the Netflix series is also delightfully reminiscent of ‘True Lies’.

Other than the upcoming Netflix spy series, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s forthcoming acting projects include the Twins sequel film ‘Triplets’ co-starring Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy, ‘The Legend of Conan’, and David Sandberg’s action-comedy movie ‘Kung Fury 2’.
