Netflix is going through a bad time. They are continuously losing subscribers and also getting threats from over 2 million subscribers to cancel their subscription. It is costing them a big deal and the reflection on their stocks crash is clear.
Regardless, amidst all this chaos, it has roped in The Terminator fame Arnold Schwarzenegger to lead a spy series. This is the first we would see Arnold in any series and this indeed can be a milestone not only for the actor but for Netflix’s fate as well.
Currently untitled, the official synopsis of the series reads, “When a father and daughter learn that they’ve each secretly been working as CIA Operatives for years, they realize their entire relationship has been a lie and they truly don’t know one another at all. Forced to team up as partners, the series tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, action and humour”
It will be an 8 episode series where Monica Barbaro will play the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold and Monica will essay the character of Luke and Emma respectively. The other cast members include Jay Baruchel as Emma’s boyfriend. Fabiana Udenio as Emma’s mother, Aparna Brielle as NSA analyst and a lot more.
