Some time back, a film called Annapoorani used to be streamed on Netflix. But, those are bygone days and the film was removed from Netflix days after the release.
What was the reason? A section of people were offended by the content of the film. Needless to say, the reasons for the offense were religious and that’s the reason both Netflix and the production house didn’t delay in removing the film.
Although not religious, can’t the same be said for Animal?
It is also a highly highly problematic film that can be severely offensive to the people around. It has a lot of misogynistic elements and let’s not even discuss the unthinkable and insane violence in the film.
Due to the same reason, we are seeing so many complaints against the film on Netflix. They are asking Netflix to remove the film but that doesn’t seem likely.
Firstly, the reasons are not religious, which was the case otherwise in Annapoorani. Secondly, Animal is very widely accepted in the theatres already and Netflix would not let go of such a view making machine so easily.
So, let’s see how many more such complaints are yet to arrive. Binged is always here to let you know if there is any update about the film.
