Director Wes Anderson’s latest film, “Asteroid City,” has graced the silver screen with its whimsical and imaginative world. This cinematic masterpiece is set in the fictional desert town of the same name, offering a captivating blend of comedy, drama, romance, and sci-fi. With its stellar cast and unique premise, “Asteroid City” promises to be a sensation.
Released in theatres this June, the film revolves around a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention in the 1950s. This quirky desert town’s tranquillity is shattered when world-changing events disrupt the convention’s meticulously planned schedule.
Notably, “Asteroid City” boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, and many more.
As the theatrical run concludes, the film is now set to make its debut on OTT platforms. Since August, we have been keeping an eye on the OTT release date of the film in India. However, the movie was released theatrically on the 25th of August in India.
But finally, we have an OTT release date for the film. But, not with all the pleasant details.
Asteroid City will be streaming on BookMyShow and Prime Video Store starting on October 6. But, the pricing…. Oh, the pricing.
Asteroid City is more expensive than Barbie as it is available to buy at a whopping cost of 999 Rs. It is obviously insane and God knows how many Indians will want to purchase the movie. We hope there is a revolution in the rent/purchase pricing soon.
