Great news coming in for fans of SonyLIV’s well-received show, ‘Avrodh‘. The series will be returning very soon with its Season 2. SonyLIV today revealed the first teaser for Avrodh Season 2. The platform hasn’t announced any release date for the new season of the show yet, but we’re guessing it should stream on SonyLIV by the end of May.
Avrodh Season 2 will capture the bravery and courage of yet another braveheart of the Indian army. The series is adapted from the book “India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes” by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. Diverse chapters in the book tell diverse stories of the bravery of our armed forces, some unheard of, and some that made headlines. Avrodh Season 2 will tell the story of Major Pradeep Arya, taxman cum armyman, who put his life on the line to tackle a band of terrorists infiltrating the Line Of Actual Control.
For his act of unparalleled bravery in the line of fire, Major Arya was conferred with the Shaurya Chakra, the third highest peacetime gallantry award in the country. Major Pradeep Arya is also a top ranking officer of the IRS. Armed with his financial knowledge, he achieved success in tracking down and curbing the enemy’s attack on India’s economy through the influx of counterfeit currency in our economy. Major Arya became the first IRS officer ever to receive the Shaurya Chakra.
Neeraj Kabi and Anant Mahadevan return in the new season of Avrodh. Abir Chatterjee, Aahana Kumra Krishna Hebbale, Mohan Agashe, Rajesh Khattar, Sanjay Suri and Vijay Krishnan are the new entrants in Avrodh Season 2. Avrodh is created by Applause Entertainment and Juggernaut Productions. Avrodh Season 2 is directed by Raj Acharya, who also helmed Avrodh: The Siege Within, aka Avrodh Season 1. Amit Sadh had played the lead in season 1.
