Indradip Dasgupta is one of the most trusted filmmakers in the Bengali film industry. He has put audiences in awe from his very first film. And now, there are reports that he is coming back with a new film. ‘Kedara’ came out in 2019 and got wide acclaim from critics and audiences. After that he has mesmerized audiences with stories like ‘Bismillah’, ‘Uttaran’, ‘Agantuk’ etc.
The film has not been titled yet but it will have Jeetu Kamal and Shubhashree Ganguly in leading roles. Jeetu Kamal has made a spectacular turn towards films from his TV career and his role in the Satyajit Ray biopic ‘Aparajito’ was extraordinary’. He also made a cameo as Satyajit Ray in Srijit Mukherjee’s Mrinal Sen biopic ‘Padatik’. Watching him opposite Shubhashree will be a treat for the fans.
Shubhashree too is starring in some interesting projects from the last few years. She was seen in ‘Bismillah’, ‘Dharmayuddha’ and also in ‘Indubala Bhater Hotel’. We will have to wait for a few more days to see what new story Indradip Dasgupta cooks with these two actors.
The release date and other details will be revealed later on. It will probably be an art-house inclined romantic drama. But there is still no update on the plotline.
