T-series and Reliance Entertainment have announced their next film named ‘Code Name Tiranga‘ that will star Parineeti Chopra and Hardy Sandhu in lead roles. It is written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. Ribhu is well known for his writing and directing of gems like ‘The Girl On The Train’ and ‘Te3n’. Parineeti has previously worked wonderfully under Ribhu in ‘The Girl On The Train’ and gained quite an applause.
Code Name Tiranga will release in cinemas on 14th of October. Ayushman Khurrana will be back with his ‘Doctor G‘ on the same day. This can be a huge clash but with someone like Ayushman releasing his film on the same day it will be quite difficult for Code Name Tiranga to do its business and the clash may remain with an one sided effect.
Code Name Tiranga will be the story of a spy soldier sacrificing her life for her duty to the nation. It follows the same cliché plotline, but it is interesting how a good director like Ribhu will make this interesting. Singer turned actor Hardy Sandhu will be on his second big film after ’83’ where he played the character of Madan Lal.
The film has an additional cast with stalwarts like Sharad Kelkar, Rajit Kapoor, Divyendu Bhattacharya and Sabyasachi Chakroborty. The cast and crew makes it easier to believe that it will not just be another regular spy thriller but have some more substance to it.
