Baarish Season 2 Teaser – Anuj and Gauravi Go From the Highpoint of Love to the Low of Divorce and A Lot In Between!

The much-loved series Baarish, from the stables of ALTBalaji and ZEE5, is all set to be back with its Season 2, and as the first look teaser confirms, it promises to be as entertaining and engaging as its debut season. The teaser has just been released on the social media handles of both streaming platforms, and it is truly lit.

Baarish, as most viewers will know, is all about the romantic journey of unassuming millionaire Gujarati businessman Anuj (Sharman Joshi) and middle-class Marathi mulgi Gauravi (Asha Negi). Season 1 had ended with Gauravi going to jail to protect her husband Anuj being jailed for his mean and selfish younger siblings’ bad business dealings.

Now the teaser for Season 2 shows that she’s out of jail on bail and the love between Anuj and Gauravi reaches the point of consummation. Of course, they’re now penniless, as Anuj’s brother and sister have decamped with all his wealth. Yet, they seem happy in their love for each other. Season 2 also sees the entry of veteran actor Jeetendra in a cameo — he will help Anuj get back on his feet, and will also play catalyst in Anuj and Gauravi’s burgeoning romance.

Season 2 retains all the gentle, soft-hued romance of Season 1, along with the sparkling humour. The season will apparently end on an unlikely ending – Anuj and Gauravi will file for divorce!

The whys and wherefores of the aforementioned development aren’t quite apparent in the teaser. We’ll just have to wait for the season to drop, to know the whole story. There’s also a trailer due on the 29th of April.
