Some time back, we had apprised our readers that ‘Baahubali’ actress Tamannaah Bhatia was starring in former video-cassette delivery boy turned successful director Madhur Bhandarkar’s next directorial movie ‘Babli Bouncer’. The National Award-winning filmmaker had announced the filming wrap for ‘Babli Bouncer’ in the month of May. And now, it has just been announced that the film would be getting a direct-to-OTT release on the Disney+ Hotstar streaming platform and the premiere date has been set as 23rd September 2022. It will stream in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. Along with the OTT release announcement, Disney+ Hotstar has also shared the first look poster for ‘Babli Bouncer’ featuring Tamannaah Bhatia.

In the film, Tamannaah Bhatia will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar essaying the titular role of a female bouncer and the beauty on duty named Babli. ‘Babli Bouncer’ is being touted as a coming-of-age and slice-of-life, feel-good, comedy-drama which revolves around a bouncer and is set in the real bouncer town of North India – Asola Fatepur.
‘Babli Bouncer’ would ostensibly portray the protagonist’s endeavor to make her mark in a field that is essentially dominated by males. It boasts of a unique premise and it’s a genre that has not been a core area of interest for Madhur Bhandarkar. Nevertheless, considering his filmography of realistic and gritty cinema, it will likely turn out to be a well-researched film on the world of bouncers.
Tamannaah Bhatia, who is known for her roles in successful movies such as ‘Baahubali’, ‘F2’ and ‘Veeram’, was last seen in the box-office hit film ‘F3: Fun and Frustration’. And her forthcoming acting projects include the rom-com ‘Plan A Plan B’ co-starring Riteish Deshmukh, romantic film ‘Gurthunda Seethakalam’, ‘Jee Karda’ series, and ‘Bholaa Shankar’ co-starring Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh, amongst others.
