‘Bad Newz’ starring Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk and Triptii Dimri is out in theaters now. The Anant Tiwari directorial tells the quirky story of a girl being the victim of heteropaternal superfecundation, where she has a twin in her womb and the two children are fathered by two different men.
Some say that the way Triptii Dimri was being criticised after the trailer for not being up to the mark as the leading girl does not make any sense at all and that her performance is beautiful and more than the trailer achieved to tease. Vicky Kaushal, however, is getting the most praises and is the most appreciated of the actors and it seems he has saved the movie alone.
The humour, according to some audiences, sometimes feels forced and lacking depth and the jokes could only be landed properly because of the comic timing of Vicky and Triptii.
Some say that it is a disappointment when compared to ‘Good Newz’, which had the story, dialogues and performances all adding up to the wholeness of a superb comedy. People are not very happy with the screenplay and remember the golden days of comedy with Priyadarshan. The old songs, like ‘Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani’, add a bit of nostalgia but do not do more than that.
A huge number of audiences are liking the movie more than anything and say that this is what they expected from it. If you have not seen the movie yet, now is a good time to watch it in theaters with your loved ones.
