Another box office bomb is making its way to OTT and the excitement couldn’t be any less. Perhaps there’s no reason for getting your hopes high for certain routine predictable and at times non-sensical films. But then there’s no right way to ascertain how the public reacts to films on OTT.
Many a times a complete box office disaster rakes in views on digital medium as viewers who missed such film is theatres try to take a peek into what the fuss was all about. Don’t we say negative marketing is still marketing! Also, the popular stars with massive fan following are another attractive feature for such films getting viewing numbers on OTT.
One such film that got negative reviews and was a big box office failure is Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff led massy affair ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ that is now set to premiere on Netflix on 6th June, 2024.
Neither the star studded cast nor the big budget could save the film from drowning at the box office because eventually it all boils down to a good story. If the film lacks that there’s not much point for other things when it comes to movie watching experience in theatres.
That’s where it is different for films on OTTs that are accessible according to our comfort and convenience, and at no extra cost rather than what has already been paid as part of subscription fee.
Apart from all this and coming back to ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, it’s high time Tiger Shroff realises that the audience, specially his fans are bored of seeing him in similar roles over the years. While initially his films like ‘Baaghi’, ‘Baaghi 2’ and ‘War’ did good commercially the same formula isn’t working anymore for his films now.
