Now that the annual film awards events are out of the way, it’s time for the annual TV awards to make their presence felt. This afternoon, the British Academy Of Film And Television Arts (BAFTA) announced the nominees of its annual TV awards. The BAFTA TV Craft awards will be held on April 23 at the The Brewery in London while the BAFTA TV Awards will be held on May 14 at Royal Festival’s Hall.
The BAFTA TV Awards nominations were dominated by popular British show, ‘The Responder’, which bagged six nominations in all. Apple TV Plus shows shone in the nominations list, with its prestigious shows ‘Bad Sisters,’ ‘Slow Horses,’ and ‘Black Bird’ scoring nominations.
Irish actor Cillian Murphy bagged his first ever BAFTA TV Awards nomination – he was nominated in the Leading Actor category, for his hit show, ‘Peaky Blinders‘. Gary Oldman, for ‘Slow Horses’, and Daniel Radcliffe for ‘Weird: The Al Yankovic Story’, also scored their first BAFTA TV Awards nominations.
