Bajpayee’s Bandaa Promo: What Does The Audience Expect From The Film

Makers have confirmed that Manoj Bajpayee’s next film ‘Bandaa‘ will skip the theatrical release and will have a direct OTT release.

A new video promo has been released and it has Manoj Bajpayee’s voice addressing somebody and saying ‘I have seen many cases in my lifetime, but this one is going to run long Hukum’. It does not have the actors face or anything else but features the poster and the details of the makers. The film is written by Deepak Kingrani, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki and produced by Vinod Bhanushali’s Bhanushali Studios Limited, Zee Studios and Suparn S Varma.

Bandaa will be a gripping courtroom drama with power packed performances and a great script. But what do we expect from Manoj Bajpayee? Will we get what we expect?

Manoj has a pretty good track record with OTT releases. Apart from a few discrepancies like Mrs. Serial Killer, he has always managed to impress audiences with his wonderful script choices. For example, Bhonsle and the recent Gulmohar have been lauded by critics and audiences.

Manoj Bajpayee has played a lot of staunch roles in strong official positions. With way too many films like Naam Shabana, Aiyaary, Special 26 or Shool, he has that kind of expectation from audiences where he plays the rough and tough guy. But he has not significantly played a lawyer in any courtroom drama. We will witness Manoj Bajpayee against a whole system with that same ferocity and strength that he showed in all previous roles. With Shool, he went against the whole system and ended up in misery and tragedy, but there is possibly a hope in audiences for a bit of more adrenaline rush and an unlimited victory. Audience would love to watch Manoj Bajpayee win more than a realistic tragic climax written by Anurag Kashyap. And as we can guess from the conviction in the voice in the promo teaser, the film will most probably provide so.
