Prime Video India has announced a new series that is being produced by Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Movies. The show is titled ‘Bambai Meri Jaan’ and it is directed by Shujaat Saudagar. The series is created by Shujaat and Rensil D’Silva.
The show will have Kay Kay Menon in the lead role. There will be other actors like Avinash Tiwary, Kritika Kamra, Nivedita Bhattacharya, Amyra Dastur in major roles. Kay Kay Menon had already been in a crime thriller named ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’ which told the story of a common man’s suffering during the times of Mumbai blasts and its aftereffects on the minds of people. The plot details of ‘Bambai Meri Jaan’ is not revealed yet, but looks like it will be a gritty crime thriller. Prime Video and Excel Movies collaborate once again to offer the audiences something spectacular after the iconic ‘Mirzapur’. Fans are excited for the show.
The poster is quite intriguing, it features Kay Kay Menon posing backwards. He looks on to a building that is burning. The story of the show is written by S Hussain Zaidi. There will be ten episodes in the series and it is somewhat clear from the poster that Bambai Meri Jaan will be a crime drama.
The release dates and other details will be revealed soon. Excel entertainment has time and again shown their mastery in crime dramas and they have earned a separate fan base with projects like Mirzapur and KGF. It will be no surprise if Bambai Meri Jaan breaks previous records and goes on to be the most viewed Indian series too.
