Hoichoi has announced 8 originals for its Bangladeshi market. They are to be released this year. These titles are as follows.
‘Buker Modhye Agun’ stars Ziaul Faruq Apurba and is directed by Taneem Rahman Angshu. It will be produced by Shahriar Shakil and Mushfiqur Rahman. Buker Modhye Agun will deal with the murder of a Bangladeshi actor in the 1990s.
Afran Nisho will be back with ‘A Common Man’, which will be directed by well known filmmaker Ashfaque Nipun. A crime thriller ‘Mission Huntdown’ will star Bidya Sinha, Saha Mim and F. S Nayeem and will be directed by Sunny Sanwar and Faisal Ahmed.
‘Delta 2051’ will be a dystopian drama directed by Krishnendu Chattopadhyay. It stars Azmeri Haque Badhon, Intekhab Dinar and Rawnak Hasan.Delta 2051 will be adapted from the novel ‘Priscilla’ by Mashiul Alam.
Author Kingkor Ahsan’s best selling novel ‘Rongila Kitab’ will be adapted to a web series and it will be directed by Anam Biswas. It will be a romantic story.
Shafayet Mansoor Rana’s ‘Odrisshyo’ will be a kidnap drama and it is anticipated by fans.
Talking about Afran Nisho, apart from ‘A Common Man’ he will also be returning with the second season of ‘Kaiser’ The superhit web series. Mosharraf Karim’ ‘Mohanagar’ too will be returning for a second season. Afran Nisho has done an impressive job in the last year and his fans are expecting more from him. Kaiser and Mohanagar had gained quite popularity in India too. These Web series will find a pretty good market in West Bengal too.
Hoichoi is doing a great job with its Bangladeshi extension, it can be argued that it is having better content in the Bangladeshi market than it has in India. It is competing head to head with other Bangladeshi streamers like Chorki and the quality of the content is growing day by day.
