The two-term President of The United States, best-selling author, and multiple Grammy winner Barack Obama to host/narrate a five-episode docu-series for Netflix in April. Titled “Our Great National Parks”, the docu-series will drop world-wide considering the popularity of the ex-US President. The series will drop on Netflix on April 13, 2022.
The five episodes of ” Our Great National Parks ” spanning across five continents was announced on February 5, 2021. It was backed by Barack and Michelle Obama’s Oscar winning Higher Ground Productions, but there wasn’t even lightest of clues regarding Barack fronting the show in an exclusive role.
Admittedly a fierce advocate of Environment Conservation and Wildlife Preservation even while in office, Obama’s presence in the docu-series beyond production capacity will only widen the reach of the series because of his unimaginable popularity. Very wise of Netflix to tap him, we’d say.
The series is also said to have an educational and interactive session attached to it besides a nature protection campaign from the Wildlife Conservation Society and Count Us. The speculation is that the series might also have multiple seasons after the first season drops.
