Greta Gerwig is one of the finest filmmakers currently active in Hollywood. She is not only an incredible actress but her stories and direction are worth your time.
Needless to say, her latest film Barbie is a worldwide rage. We have never seen any buzzier film at least in recent history. The impeccable marketing campaign came out to be highly impactful in creating excitement amongst the audience.
To fight against Oppenheimer, Barbie tried every possible way to present itself as a buzzy and big film.
So much so that they made a whole pink animation whenever someone searches for them on Google.
But Google result also shows the Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb score of the film. Well, there is nothing wrong with the Rotten Tomatoes but the IMDb score is concerning.
Google showed the IMDb score of the film as 1.
If you visit right now then the IMDb score of the film is above 7 which is decent. But up until yesterday late at night, the rating was showing as 1.
So did the rating really fall to 1? Given the enormously positive response from the critics.
Absolutely no.
It was a glitch by IMDb that was being reflected in the Google search results. Since the film has been released today itself, people were not even allowed to post their ratings yesterday.
Thankfully, the glitch is fixed and yes, Barbie is not even close to getting a rating of 1. It is fundamentally a good film.
