Talking about plagiarism, it is not solely a twenty-first-century issue. If you are acquainted with Shakespeare’s works, you know he drew inspiration from the work of others, especially Italian literature. However, it was tough to catch those trends, and practically, plagiarism doesn’t take anything away from the greatness of Shakespeare.

The lawsuit was filed in 2022, claiming that Matt Reeves and Warner Bros took elements from Chris Wozniak’s story ‘The Ultimate Riddle,’ but the court has something different to say.
Talking to Wozniak’s lawyer, Terry Parker stated, “We respectfully disagree with the court’s decision and are considering our next steps.”
In a 45-page ruling, Engelmayer concluded that Wozniak infringed DC Comics’ copyright by incorporating Batman characters and plot elements without consent. The judge deemed similarities between Wozniak’s work and Batman stories too generic to warrant copyright protection. Wozniak’s story was found to exploit Batman’s world without authorization.
