The long running DC shows in CW “Legends of Tomorrow” and “Batwoman” won’t be coming for another season in front of the fans. CW announced the news of the cancellation of shows back-to-back on Twitter yesterday. This has made the future of DC shows in CW complicated.
Batwoman had created a buzz in the first two seasons and had a great final episode in the third season and things were going just fine for them and then the tables turned. In a twitter post the show runner Caroline Dries announced the show won’t return for a fourth season.
He wrote. “I am bummed, but full of gratitude. What an honor to make 51 episodes. So many inspiring, brilliant people contributed to this series. Thank you producers, cast and crew. Thank you, fans! We love you.”
The final episode of the show teased another show, but the uncertainty of a renewal was on the air and fans and the writer’s room of the show campaigned in the social medias for the renewal and now all of their have become good for nothing. After a few hours the news of the Legends of Tomorrow cancellation also dropped which became salt in the wound.
The show runners of the Legends of Tomorrow confirmed the cancellation of the show in a twitter post of the writers room in which they wrote “Thank you for being the greatest fans and sticking with us for seven seasons. Once a Legend, always a Legend.”
The show had aired for a long seven seasons and the latest season even introduced the time traveling superhero of DC, Booster Gold fans were expecting another season. But the farewell to the many fan favourite characters in the show finally makes sense now setting up the cancellation of the show.
Both the news of the cancellation of Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow have hit hard for the die-hard Arrowverse fans witnessing the downfall of the franchise. Although “The Flash” and “Superman and Lois” are being renewed for another season, things are not good for DC in CW. Disappointing fans will be affecting the viewership of the renewed shows of DC. Lately fans also witnessed turbulence in the DCEU cancelling many fan favourite movies and heroes.
