One of Netflix’s original Spanish shows when it started streaming, today ended up being a phenomenon. It is one of Netflix’s most successful Spanish series till date and no, it’s not Money Heist. We are talking about the teen drama “Élite”. With 3 seasons already in, fans have been waiting impatiently for the fourth season and finally, the latest season will be releasing on the 18th of June, 2021.
Well, this is known news, as the announcement for the show has been a while ago and it already looks super exciting. Now, Netflix has announced yet another exciting news. The streaming service has come up with a plan to celebrate the release of Élite by introducing “Élite Week” on Netflix.
Élite Week will start from 14th of June. From 14th till 17th, Netflix will be releasing Élite short stories and on the 18th the fans will be getting the brand new season. So what exactly will be in those short stories? Don’t worry; we are here to help you out on that.
Season 3 saw the departure of some of our fan favourites from the show, though some of the core cast stayed behind, there will be brand new additions to this family in Season 4. Now, in these Élite short stories, 4 episodes will be dedicated to certain stories of a few characters and what exactly went on in their lives before the start of the new session in school, which will be the beginning of Season 4.
The 4 episodes will have characters from the old cast, especially Ester Exposito’s Carla, Jorge Lopez‘s Valerio, Mina El Hammani’s Nadia, and Danna Paola’s Lucrecia and what exactly happened to them after Season 3. While, it will also include few from the new cast, to get viewers acquainted with their stories. This new addition comes as a decision from the makers as they said that with each new season, some stories of some characters always get left behind and fans keep on wondering what happened in that time frame.
To make things easier this season, the makers have come up with this brilliant plan. These episodes are built in such a way that it will help bridge the content gap between Season 3 and Season 4. Also, this is the first time for the series that so many of the characters have exited and so many more have been included.
The makers have also mentioned the fact with these 4 episodes, the stories and the universe of Élite will grow. This increases the chances of Netflix creating spin-offs for their superhit series. This actually is a possibility, as Netflix has been doing that a lot with quite some of its series and films.
So, fans of Élite, if you were excited for Élite S4, now get even more excited because you will be getting a week full of brand new content of the series.
