One of the most popular Hollywood actors Ben Stiller is set to star in an interesting project based on the real-life story of identical triplets Bobby Shafran, David Kellman, and Eddy Galland. The said project is going to be set in a limited series format and negotiations for Ben Stiller starring in the series have reached an advanced stage.
The aforementioned identical triplets have previously been the subject of the award-winning 2018 documentary film titled ‘Three Identical Strangers’. Its story is about how the three genetically identical siblings Edward, David, and Robert were adopted by socially and economically different families when they were infants. When they turned 19, the brothers learned about each other and reunited just by chance in New York. And following their chance encounter, some shocking things came to the fore.
In the ‘Three Identical Strangers’ limited series adaptation, Ben Stiller will essay the role of the three adult identical brothers, and the Emmy winner will also be executive producing the eagerly anticipated project. The story will be set over a span of a few decades.
The challenging triplets’ role is a major acting comeback of sorts for Ben Stiller, who was last seen in an uncredited cameo in the 2022 romantic comedy movie ‘Bros’. But his last proper feature film acting role was in 2017 in the comedy drama movie ‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ co-starring Adam Sandler and Dustin Hoffman.
Ben Stiller’s acting career has been embellished with some really popular films including ‘There’s Something About Mary’, ‘Meet the Parents’, ‘Tropic Thunder’, ‘Night at the Museum’, and ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’, to name a few. Besides, he has recently directed the highly acclaimed sci-fi thriller series ‘Severance’ for Apple TV Plus.
