As the end of the year comes closer, people are starting to look for new stories for entertainment. In the Bengali entertainment industry, after the massive performance of a three movie clash, the box office numbers are slowing down.
There are no big movies releasing this month. And for the next one, there is only one. Meanwhile, the OTT industry is all hyped up with project after project. ‘Nikosh Chhaya’ has already premiered and despite getting some negative reviews, it has gathered a huge number of views. ‘Talmar Romeo Juliet’ is an anticipated title and will create a huge hype too. Meanwhile, Hoichoi Bangladesh brings a novel adaptation ‘Rongila Kitab’.
There are some other titles that have not revealed the release dates yet. Srijit Mukherjee’s ‘Bhushworgo Bhoyonkor’ which is the next part of the exciting Feluda adaptation, will probably be out in the first half of December. ‘Daini’, a new series is coming too that will star Mimi Chakroborty.
On the other hand, the theatrical movies are going slow. Bohurupi and Tekka did a very strong business at the box office, but now there is only one movie coming out in December. ‘Shontaan’ stars Mithun and is directed by Raj Chakroborty. There are all chances that it will be a hit, but still audiences could do with some more releases in theaters.
