Much awaited Malayalam blockbuster “Bheeshma Parvam” is finally gearing for its OTT release on Disney+Hotstar from April 1st,2022. This period gangster drama is produced and directed by Amal Neerad. The film stars Mammootty in the lead role with Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Nadhiya Moidu, Shine Tom Chacko and Farhaan Faasil in supporting roles.
” Bheeshma Parvam ” released on 3rd March, 2022 and is continuing to have a super smashing run at the theatres, making and breaking records while grossing 50 crores worldwide in just four days.The film is also the highest grossing Indian film in UAE. Amal Neerad, Devadath Shaji with Ravishankar share writing credits with Manu Jose aka RJ Murukan attached to pen dialogues.
“Bheeshma Parvam” follows Michael Anjooti, A former gangster-turned-marine exporter from Fort Kochi who is the sole decision maker and Patriarch of Anjooti Family. However, with the entire family planning and plotting to wipe out his existence, he endures a series of unfortunate events and death threats forcing him to revisit his past and take things in his hand.
Mammootty and Amal Neerad were originally supposed to reunite for the sequel to Big B. However, Covid-19 played a villain and the film was put on hold. The two subsequently teamed up for “Bheeshma Parvam”, which is a reunion of Amal Neerad and Mammootty after 14 years.
