For the Hindi film industry it all began earlier this year with Alia Bhatt starrer Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s masterpiece ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and continued with Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s sensational and hard-hitting film ‘The Kashmir Files’.
Things were looking good but none of these was a mass masala entertainer like the pan-Indian films ‘RRR’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’. Questions were raised and everyone was apprehensive of the Hindi film industry.
Looks like ‘Bhool Bhulaiaya 2’ has put an end to much of these speculations and breathed a new life at the box office. Though the film hasn’t performed that great economically when compared to ‘RRR’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, it definitely has revived Bollywood and woke it out of its slumber. Moreover, comparing pan-Indian films with a massive appeal to a language specific film seems kind of unfair.
Starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav, ‘Bhool Bhulaiaya 2’ is a horror comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee and written by Aakash Kaushik and Farhad Samji. Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Anjum Murad and Krishan Kumar have bankrolled the film. The production companies behind ‘Bhool Bhulaiaya 2’ are T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios.
