As per media reports the next Avengers movie will have as many as sixty MCU Characters returning to fight some new intergalactic villain.
Director Shawn Levy is all set to release his ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ on the 26th of July and the movie has raised high hopes in fans. Meanwhile, Shawn Levy is also the top choice for directing the fifth Avengers movie. A script from Michael Waldron has been offered to him and while Marvel waits for his decision, talks with some other directors are still going on.
There have been four Avengers movies in all, with Joss Whedon’s original ‘The Avengers’ coming out in 2012 and it being followed by Whedon’s sequel ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ in 2015. After that, the filmmaker brothers Joe and Anthony Russo went on to direct the blockbusters ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: End Game’, two of the most popular MCU movies. Now all eyes are on Avengers 5 and the announcement of bringing 60 MCU Characters has made fans go crazy.
But there are some criticisms of this decision as well, some netizens are thinking of this step as a desperate attempt to revive the lost glory and hype of the fandom. Some fans think this as unnecessary while some argue that landing a huge number of characters worked perfectly for Infinity War and End Game and it might work out here as well. People want the big names like Iron Man And Captain America to return at any costs and Marvel has all the choices to impress the fan base with surprises once again.
