Bigg Boss is one of the most popular shows in the country. Fourteen seasons strong, this show completed yet another successful season last night by declaring television’s popular face Rubina Dilaik as its winner!
She took home a cash prize of 36 lakhs and a beautiful trophy. Rubina’s victory didn’t come as a surprise. She was the only contestant who stayed inside the house for 140 days straight. A strong women who stood up for herself whenever required; who openly challenged fellow contestants; who voiced her opinions without giving it a second thought; who was courageous enough to discuss and fix her partially broken marriage; who played with dignity and who showed the flavour of empathy!
She defeated all the contestants but most importantly, she defeated Rahul Vaidya. Rahul, a singer and Bigg Boss season 14’s runner up, didn’t lift the Bigg trophy but definitely won thousands of hearts. Rahul and Rubina had been at loggerheads with each other for as long as one can think of. From challenging Rubina at every stage to decoding Rubina’s ‘flawed’ opinions, Rahul never missed a chance to go against her. He never shied away from standing up for what’s right even if it involved going against his own friends. He also showed us what true friendship is like by displaying it correctly with Aly Goni and also what true love is when he proposed to his girlfriend Disha Parmar on national television. Rahul was clearly one of the mature contestants in the house and maybe that’s why, after the finale, #ProudOfYouRahulVaidya is trending on Twitter.
As mentioned, Rahul won thousand hearts with his exceptional performance. His fans, also known as RKVians, believe that he deserves to be the winner and there’s no doubt about that. However, a few believe his mid show exit to meet his family and beau Disha is the reason behind his loss. If he stayed in the house for 140 days straight, Rahul would have lifted the trophy.
At the third position was Nikki Tamboli, followed by Aly Goni and Rakhi Sawant. The grand finale was graced by the physical and virtual presence of numerous celebrities such as Nora Fatehi, Dharmesh Yelande, Dharmendra, Madhuri Dixit, and Tushar Kalia among others. All the eliminated contestants and the families of all five finalists were at the grand finale too. We wish all the contestants nothing but success for their futures!
