Billie Eilish Disney+ Film “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter To L.A.” Sees Its Grand Premiere

If someone talks about solo pop music, Billie Eilish is the name that’s on everyone’s mind. Billie Eilish, the 19-year old singer has been able to achieve so much in such a short period that it is unbelievable. She has been on tours, won awards, and even the Grammys, making her the youngest recipient. Her songs are sensational and have their way of telling stories. Now, adding to this brilliant way of story-telling, Billie Eilish just released her brilliant new Disney+ movie “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter To Los Angeles”.

The premiere of her movie was held in one of the most iconic Los Angeles locations, “The Grove”. The movie was screened in a classic drive-in-theatre way, where everyone was in their socially distanced position, watching the movie on the big screen. Attending the screening was, of course, Billie Eilish, her brother Finneas, animation director Patrick Osborne and various other celebrities and influencers. This was not all though, the evening had more in store for the guests that came in.

There were performances by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, who played five songs from Billie Eilish’s brand-new album, “Happier Than Ever.” The Los Angeles Philharmonic also are part of the beautiful Billie Eilish movie, which will showcase Billie in a never-before-seen avatar as an animated character, as she takes her fans, and viewers into Los Angeles, and some of its iconic landmarks. L.A. is home to Billie and like everyone else, there are stories one has to tell about their home city and so does Billie. This is a love letter to Los Angeles from Billie Eilish in the true sense.

The movie will be released on Disney+ Hotstar for Indian viewers and they will be able to witness Billie Eilish singing her songs from her recent album “Happier Than Ever”. All her songs will be performed sequentially for the first time in this film. Apart from that, there will be performances from Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, Gustavo Dudamel conducting for the iconic Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra along with world-renowned Brazilian guitarist, Romero Lubambo.

The movie has been directed by award-winning director, Robert Rodriguez along with animations from Academy Award-winning animator Patrick Osborne. The animations of the movie are so on point that it will take viewers across a magical journey along with Billie to Los Angeles. Scenes from movies can be seen in Billie Eilish’s music video “Oxytocin”, released on YouTube’s Vevo channel. The movie is all set to release on the 3rd of September on Disney+ Hotstar, exclusively.
