Having huge openings and grand ticketing sales is something that every franchise wants. These dreams were achieved this week when Stree 2 blasted at the Box Office drawing exceptional numbers. The Horror Comedy thrashed Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa to achieve this feat.
Critics have predicted that Stree 2 might break a lot more records in the upcoming weeks as there hasn’t been any mainstream release in sight for a long time now. With such an impressive opening weekend, Stree 2 might demolish any competition it faces which includes Anjini Dhawan’s debut film ‘Binny and Family’.
Anjini Dhawan, the niece of Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, will be making her Bollywood debut in the movie “Binny and Family.” The family drama, which also stars Pankaj Kapur, is directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy and produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures. It promises to be a light-hearted family entertainer that revolves around the typical problems in the lives of Binny and her family.
The film is set to release on 30th August amidst the ongoing domination of Stree 2 which doesn’t look to hold down. It will be disheartening for Anjini as well as the team of ‘Binny and Family’ to see their product fail to deliver due to the one-sided crowd following Rajkumar Rao’s Stree 2. As of writing, no trailers or teasers have been released for the upcoming family entertainer which proves how poor the production and promotion team is. Only time will tell how Stree 2’s onslaught will impact films like these in the upcoming weeks.
