Filmmaker Manasmukul Pal will soon be working on a new project. It will be the biopic of Bengali revolutionary leader Dinesh Gupta.
Currently, Manasmukul Pal is working on a new drama movie starring Mithun Chakroborty in the lead. The movie also has Bangladeshi actress Afsana Mimi in a major role. It is an ambitious project and the title and plot line has not been revealed yet. The movie will probably be coming out in the second half of next year.
The Dinesh Gupta biopic will be the third feature film in Manasmukul’s career. The screenplay is written by himself and for the cast, he will choose some new faces of the industry.
Dinesh Gupta was an important figure in the revolution against the British. He along with a team of two other friends Binay Basu and Badal Gupta planned to assassinate the tyrannical Inspector N. S. Simpson. Multiple movies have been made on the friendship and courage of Binay-Badal-Dinesh and the latest one came out in 2022 and was titled ‘8/12’.
Manasmukul Pal has impressed audiences with his beautifully executed film ‘Sohoj Pather Goppo’ and people are excited to see what the winning director brings to the table next. The release date and other details will probably be announced soon.
